Typhoid is diagnosed in Turkey mainly by clinical signs and treatment is carried out empirically.Ceftriaxone and ciprofloxacin are the predominantly used medicines. Though there are no serious problems with these drugs in Turkey, resilient cases are reported in various regions of the world. Protection of people are essential for controlling of typhoid fever in endemic areas.
