Supernumerary teeth are a type of abnormality which is characterized by the presence of tooth considered addition to the normal number of a dental arch. They can erupt normally, remain impacted, appear themselves reversed or even take an ectopic position. They can occur in an isolated or multiple way, unilaterally or bilaterally, in the maxilla or mandible or both arches.
