Type III secretion (T3S) is a virulence factor utilized by Gramnegative bacteria to secrete toxins and other effector proteins that facilitate eukaryotic cell invasion and promote intracellular survival . Type III secretion systems (T3SS) transport effector proteins from the bacterial cytosol into the cytosol of the eukaryotic cell through the use of a syringe like injectisome .
