The keratoplasty or corneal transplant is the most frequently transplantation performed in the world and Brazil. it consists of a surgical procedure in which there is a substitution of an opaque cornea by a healthy donor cornea. This replacement may be all tissue layers (penetrant) or partial substitution only of the affected layer (lamellar)
